He keeps the beat going and the rest of the group guessing what song they’re playing. \nBrian on bass – cool\, calm\, and funkier than a forgotten sandwich in the garage fridge. He holds down the groove while pretending he’s not the most responsible one here. \nKyle on lead guitar – master of face-melting solos and unintentional feedback. Shreds so hard\, his pick files for workers’ comp after every show. \nJeff and Keith on guitars and vocals – it’s like twin guitar chaos: Jeff brings the occasional lead fire and vocals that make dogs howl with joy\, while Keith’s rhythm keeps everything (barely) grounded and throws in background vocals that are mostly on key (ish). \nMike as lead singer and part-time guitar warrior – whether he’s singing his heart out or jumping in on guitar when the mood strikes (or a string breaks)\, Mike brings the rockstar energy—and at least two wardrobe changes. \nTogether\, they are a beautiful\, loud\, slightly off-tempo train that cannot be stopped. They may not have platinum records\, but they do have matching T-shirts\, four group texts\, and a dream. Now crank it up to eleven\, and let’s make some questionable noise—give it up for the band!

DESCRIPTION:Derek’s is a voice that recalls the classic songwriters of the 1970’s. Comparisons to Cat Stevens\, Van Morrison and James Taylor come easily\, but in addition\, he brings an alternative sound reminding one of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy or Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam. Born among the cornfields of the Great Plains of Nebraska\, Derek began playing and writing songs after receiving his first guitar in 1986. Since then\, he has travelled widely in the lower 48 playing his original songs and favorite cover versions for audiences from California to New York. As of 2022 he has called Massachusetts his home.
