Derek Dibbern

Derek’s is a voice that recalls the classic songwriters of the 1970’s. Comparisons to Cat Stevens, Van Morrison and James Taylor come easily, but in addition, he brings an alternative sound reminding one of Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy or Iron and Wine’s Sam Beam. Born among the cornfields of the Great Plains of Nebraska, Derek began playing and writing songs after receiving his first guitar in 1986. Since then, he has travelled widely in the lower 48 playing his original songs and favorite cover versions for audiences from California to New York. As of 2022 he has called Massachusetts his home.
